I've caught the Denim People bug and have started Dolly in the lighter blue colour. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that this shade of Denim has a different feel to it than Memphis. It seems to knit up tighter and is smoother to handle - more like Cotton Glace. Dolly looks simple at first glance but has interesting features including short row shaping, darts, shirt cuffs, buttonholes and embroidery so it will keep me occupied for a while. There are a slew of errors in the pattern including whole charts that have been omitted and for reasons best known to themselves, Rowan include a diagram showing how to make a French knot when the pattern actually calls for stem stitch.
Still have to finish Bilberry and one sleeve on Eriskay as well as my lacy top from Vintage Knits.

I saw the Denim people book when I was on vacation but didn't buy it since i thought I could find it at home or one the internet. What I liked about it is that they have some really creative designs, even for men. I'm so tired of seeing all the mens sweaters oversized and out of some bulky yarn that I wouldn't wear. The Denim people book had some fun alternatives for men, too. That's a bummer when there is an error, I was making a lace shawl one time and there was an error, so I had to write to the magazine and finally I could finish the shawl. Heewwwhhhh!!!!
